Rose's Room pt. 2

Continuing from this post, I finally got around to taking a few more pictures of Rose's room. It's pretty much come together now, still looking for the perfect rug but otherwise I really dig it:

This gorgeous table was a gift from her Auntie Lauren, made with love! Ah, all the tulle makes me oh so happy. It's definitely quite cheery.

Rose's changing table. Shown here is a cupcake scentsy warmer (with the awesome baby scent!), her little bubblebee friend I found at hobby lobby, a cool piece of artwork from this etsy shop, & lastly a card I framed from the halloween baby shower.

She still isn't sleeping in her crib. When she does the bumpers, blankets and Rico bear will all be taken out. Above her crib is another gift from Auntie Lauren. The R comes off so she can later use it as a memory board. Pretty cool, huh?

That's all for now! xoxo

Rose's Room pt. 1: Books, Books, Books

On the wall is a little nursery rhyme that my mom made. You can't see it very well but she drew a cute little lady bug that looks like it's marching along the picture frame. It makes me smile. So does the set of nature & teacups decals throughout her room. We were going for a garden tea party theme throughout the nursery. <3

Daddy put together the shelves (and pretty much everything else...) but the decorating was me! I admit to going a bit crazy in trying to make the shelves look nice. And by crazy I mean spending an hour and a half rearranging books. That's kinda normal right? Right? In the end I couldn't find a way to put all of her books on the shelf so there is still more not pictured and currently in the closet.

Books are really important to me and before I knew whether we were having a boy or a girl, I spent my time browsing the children's book aisles. Growing up, my mom fostered a pretty healthy appetite for reading in me and one of the most distinct memories I have of my childhood bedroom was the wall length shelving that bowed in the middle from the weight of all my books.

I can only hope to instill the same love of stories in Rose!
