What's Cooking


In a few short days we will be packed and off once again for another journey, this time back to San Antonio. It's hard to call it "home" with Stephen gone and the rest of the family strewn from Oklahoma to Michigan.We will make the best of it until he returns though.

Cowgirls don't cry and all that jazz.

Bought a few things from sur la table to freshen up the kitchen decor and get us in the warmer weather mood. I've been trying out new recipes here and there, some successes (delicious garlic & basil chicken) and some failures (the pb & banana muffins did sorta taste like burnt cardboard) but hands down my little brunch was awesome:

Spinach omelette with jalepeno bread cheese & a little bit of sour cream, served with a cold glass of apple cider ale.

Was it the healthiest meal? Probably not but it was definitely very yummy! Cooking is starting to become a new hobby of mine so hopefully I can share with y'all some of my creations (at least the edible ones).
