MAMA MERMAID

It's been a wild couple weeks! Family came to town last week and we all went to the Navy Day Ball. This year the ball was held at the Westin right on the riverwalk, I have to say it was by far the best one I've gone to and I had lot's of fun (although rocking the heels all night was brutal on my feet, won't be doing that again any time soon!)

It was nice not having to wear my uniform for a change and I think it surprised a few people who don't normally see me in civilian clothes to see the baby bump. So much for info spreading at a small command, some folks still hadn't heard the news! I even had someone I work with and see on a daily basis admit that he had wondered why I was in civilian clothes until someone reminded him that I was pregnant. HAH!
