Happy Halloween!

{Sunako from The Wallflower, the ultimate fictional fan of Halloween!}

Happy Halloween everyone! However you choose to celebrate it I hope you have a safe and spooky night. I think we will be keeping it chill around here, passing out candy and doing a little bit of the monster mash.

Spooky Inspirations

It is no secret that I am a bit obsessed about Halloween. I used to tell people my birthday was on October 31st and during my pregnancy my friends threw a Halloween-themed baby shower (!!)  It's hard to believe that the spooky celebration is so close, I feel like this month just flew on by.

 I am in love with this funky loteria-esque fabric. I could see using it for a clutch or even a skirt. It's hard to choose just one fabric from that shop (I like these as well: 1, 2, 3)

These interesting owl brooches were just one of my favorites over at Sea of Bees.

Some  black and white posters would make striking art in the home.

And of course what would be a better way to get in the Halloween mood than a marathon of horror movies? Watching scary movies, even the really tacky silly ones, has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. I was raised on the classics! Some of my recent favorites are Sinister, Mama and Evil Dead (watch the new version and if you want a laugh, the Bruce Campbell original!)  Pretty much any of  Guillermo Del Toro's work is golden too. What are your faves?
