Grow Tomatoes Grow

It's getting chilly down here but the first frost shouldn't set in till the beginning of December. One of the blessings of living in south Texas means more time to let the beefsteak tomatoes grow. They are so much bigger than in the picture above! I made a guacamole from scratch the other day and a few slices of these beauties (the ripened ones, of course) was the perfect touch.

I'm a bit sad that the radishes and snap peas didn't grow. A couple days after I planted them we got a torrential storm that pretty much destroyed the spot they had been planted. Perfect place to get sunshine but evidently the soil doesn't drain well there.  Lesson learned = be mindful of where you start a garden bed (duh).
