Enchanted Rock: Hiking in the Fall

In Southwest Texas we don't get quite the same images of autumn seen elsewhere in the US. There isn't an explosive backdrop of red and orange oak leaves and the cool air usually lingers around 70 by the afternoon. But I do enjoy this subtle changes here and right now we are seeing the beautiful butterfly migration that is absolutely mesmerizing. This weekend we took a trip out to Enchanted Rock for some hiking and rock climbing. I had been feeling a little sick but the fresh air was just what I needed and the weather was such a nice contrast to the times we've gone in the summer.

Rosie's uncle Jake gave her that rock and she carried it with her the entire day, haha.

She has so much fun exploring and climbing rocks, Mother Nature makes an awesome playground. =D

We came upon this bush on the way back and it was completely engulfed in these gorgeous butterflies. It was so surreal, the flutter of their wings made it look like the bush was alive.  And the flowers smelled absolutely heavenly too!
