Toy Talk

When it comes to Rosie’s toys I have tried recently to be selective with our choices.  I knew from the beginning I didn’t want my home to be overwhelmed with loud garish toys (Rose makes enough noise on her own) but I also didn’t want her to get bored. So I take inspiration from the Waldorf discipline by keeping her collection of toys simple but also functional. And you know it’s true what folks say about children delighting in silly objects like a giant box or a whisk; Rosemary’s favorite game these days is to “collect” eggs in her basket.

Seriously, every day is an Easter egg hunt around here. I never know if I might find one in my shoe or in the dog bowl! Although I am pretty sure Johnny Cash might be the culprit behind some of the egg hiding. He’s a sneaky little hound dog but we love him anyways.
