Changes: She Left the Military in Pursuit of Purple Nailpolish
My life is on the brink of some major change. It's so exciting! And scary! But mostly exciting! I don't know what the future precisely has in store for me and my little family but I feel like good things are ahead for all of us. Rosie gets to grow and flourish surrounded by family and this is exactly what Stephen and I both want for her so very much.
As for me? I am gearing up for the transition into the civilian world with a mix of anxiety and anticipation. I have spent almost 6 years of my adult life as a servicemember and I am so ready to make the change for something more suited to my nature. Is it silly that I am really looking forward to wearing nailpolish without some first-class questioning whether that particular shade is within regs? It is freeing to know that there is an end to this rat race! 7 months. 7 months till a new life! I expect things to get busier as the time approaches so please hang in there with me as I make this transition.
There are a few upcoming projects that are currently in the early planning stages so it would be premature to share any more details than that right now but I am very excited to possibly explore my more crafty side in the near future!
As for right now I am signing up for military separation classes, filling out college applications and getting the resume up to date. Not to mention my online courses are in full swing and starting next month I will get to dive into my child development courses (so exicted!). Every effort makes this more real for me. When I start to imagine all the wonderful things I have to look forward to it is hard to even give my doubts and fears any mind.
