Fiesta, Flowers & Food

After getting Rose's pictures taken (stay tuned for some of the amazing shots!) at the gardens, the grandparents and I were starved and decided to try out La Gloria, a restaurant I have been dying to check out that specialized in street side Mexican cuisine. So I wasn't too keen on the itty bitty bottles of corona  but the food was absolutely delicious.

Behind the counter they had a really neat grill that they raised and lowered with a wheel and a spit with a big ol' piece of meat being cooked. I really dug how the entire place was open (upon inspection I realized that it was actually a garage they had converted into a restaurant).

After an awesome lunch we were walking back to the car & got to see a sneak peak of the floats from the San Antonio Fiesta fest. These things were amazingly detailed! I couldn't believe the amount of people who were lined up along the streets, some had even been camping out for the last night or so. All to get a good view of the first of many parades that go on during the month of May.
