Spontaneous Adventures

I've always loved spontaneous adventures, getting up one morning when the air is still crisp and the rest of the world is just starting their day and finding a new place to explore. It was with that idea, I headed downtown and walked along the river, stumbling upon the Pearl Farmer's Market
in the process where the was all kinds of goodies from fresh veggies to grass-fed bison sirloin.

Turning the corner from the mural is the front of a tex-mex restaurant and this guy, looking ever so dapper in his bowtie.

Afterwards, I grabbed breakfast at one of the stands (a yummy breakfast taco!) and sat down by the river for bit, soaking up the lively morning atmosphere. Sometimes I forget that this city has a pulse with it's very own thriving urban environment. San Antonio isn't like it's more popular counterparts such as Austin with her famous 6th street but I think something can be said for what San Antonio does bring to the table with it's chicano art splashed against concrete walls and hidden in little nooks around the city. You just need to know where to look.
