Of Sickness, Ultrasounds and Massages

Ah nausea, you greet me in the morning and right about lunchtime and let's not forget those late night delights. Safe to say I will not miss you as I move into the second trimester. Week 16 starts Monday and I am looking forward to feeling the baby move soon and hopefully not long after we can find out if it's a boy or girl!

Although when we went to Oklahoma recently, a family friend gave us a free ultrasound and it looked like we might possibly have a baby boy on the way! I've been rooting for team pink but all the while I've had my secret suspicions that it would be a boy, so we shall see. I'm going to be pretty happy either way!

It was a bit of a splurge and an experiment in self-indulgence but I got my first massage yesterday. Best idea I've ever had and I think it's something I should try to budget for at least once a month during this pregnancy. It helped relieve so much of the tension I carry in my shoulders as well as eased some of the recent back pain from my ever-so-changing body.

Between house-hunting, work and of course baby worries, I feel like I have been neglecting my own needs when it comes to recharging and relaxing. So let this go on record that I promise to do a better job when it comes to pampering myself from time to time!
